![]() ![]() Which rankles the kool-aid guys even more. In this case, Lexi/Harman hasn't upgraded for a long time (maybe they didn't feel like dealing with Apple constantly breaking their code.maybe) and in the interim, Apple's evolved internal code/machines 7-8-9 times. The guys on the Apple kool-aid (Apple customers) then also crankily demand third party companies to keep up as well."or give me my money back".stuff like that. The various zillion pages are the typical gripes due to the way Apple recklessly moves forward internally and expects/demands third party companies (music or non-music) to follow the RDF roadmap at an instant's notice (Apple. ![]() Thanks!Yeah, essentially this entire thread revolves around disgruntled Mac users. With that said, and not going to read 140 pages, is there any reason to get the latest update/upgrade if I'm on Windows 10 latest blah blah blah, and everything is working fine? Is this really for Mac users?Īny additional features/advantages to this free update/upgrade? I'm currently listening to a synth loop with VVV's Dark Plate preset as compared to PCM's, and I have to say, it's indistinguishable to me. Plus, it's given me the opportunity to become more familiar with what I already have with EA, Valhalla, and Relab, and I don't think PCM fills $300+ worth of gaps in my selection. I really like what HD Cart adds to my little collection. I can kick some cash Reverb Foundry's way, now. If they get their act back together, I'd be happy to hop on the PCM train, and I know I'm not the only person who feels this way. It's a shame, but it looks like a gamble from where I'm sitting. There is a fabled overhaul on the way, but I won't hold my breath. Hell, the user above me said they were without them for 5 years. Not to mention Lexicon support appears to be dismal. The experience is just not enough to justify even the sale price, for me. The look is somewhat cheap (blurry faders? lens flare?), they're very slow to close, the presets are scrambled (on Big Sur), and I find the 7 separate plugins to be a nuisance to work with, especially as they take so long to close. Unfortunately, the actual plugins are disappointing. I also like the parameter controls they're perhaps more sensible than R4, and I'd say Valhalla might have taken a page out of Lexicon's book in that regard. The presets themselves are impressive-I imagine I'd always be able to find something that requires little tweaking by just scrolling through. I finally was able to demo them, and they really do sound amazing. ![]()
